Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Commercial Construction Project Manager to oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership abilities, excellent communication skills, and a comprehensive understanding of construction processes. This role requires proficiency in various construction management software and tools, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, and according to specifications.
Duties
- Manage commercial construction projects from beginning to end.
- Coordinate project scheduling and resource allocation effectively to optimize productivity.
- Utilize construction management software - Buildertrend - for project tracking and reporting.
- Develop detailed project estimates and budgets based on thorough analysis of project specifications.
- Oversee the preparation and review of contracts, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and industry standards.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, address issues, and maintain safety standards on-site.
- Review blueprints, schematics, and other technical documents to ensure accurate implementation of project plans.
- Manage project documentation including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
- Implement effective time management strategies to meet deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience in commercial construction management or project management within the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction estimating techniques and practices.
- Excellent project coordination skills with a focus on detail-oriented execution.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately.
- Familiarity with contracts related to construction projects is essential.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience working on construction sites is preferred.
- Exceptional communication skills for effective collaboration with diverse teams.
- The right candidate will have 10+ years previous experience in construction project management.
