We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing various civil engineering projects, ensuring that they meet all specifications and regulations. This role requires a strong foundation in engineering principles, project management skills, and proficiency in relevant software tools.
Duties
- Design and implement civil engineering projects including roads, bridges, pipelines, and drainage systems.
- Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments to determine project viability.
- Prepare detailed engineering plans and specifications using CAD software.
- Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to ensure project alignment with client needs.
- Utilize construction estimating techniques to prepare accurate budgets and timelines.
- Manage project schedules and resources effectively to meet deadlines.
- Perform calculations using Mathcad for structural analysis and design validation.
- Review project designs for compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Utilize Bluebeam for document management and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
- Oversee construction activities to ensure adherence to design specifications and safety standards.
Skills
- Proficient in Civil Engineering principles with a solid understanding of construction estimating.
- Strong experience with CAD software; familiarity with MicroStation is a plus.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously. CDOT and IDOT experience preferred.
- Knowledge of pipeline design and engineering practices is desirable.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Mathcad for calculations and modeling.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with team members and stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to quality assurance in all engineering outputs.
